WHAT TO EXPECT

First Year Nerves

Sending your child to camp is a big adjustment for both you and your kids. This is why we communicate with both you and your camper before camp begins. Many parents have been through the first year nerves of allowing their child to leave their nest for much of the summer. Through their own discoveries at Falcon Camp, campers develop communication skills, learn how to take charge, overcome challenges, deal with differences and gain the confidence to make decisions and become leaders. Allow your child to mature through the Falcon Camp experience.

What Camp Parents Are Saying:

"Dave, It was great speaking with you the other day. Our son seems so excited to go to camp. Thank you so much for your time on the phone." - First Year Camp Mom

"We are going to write to the office at the State Department that compiles a list of camps and schools for Foreign Service children and recommend Falcon...Finding a camp that teaches that fun doesn't have to be electronic and there is room in the day for relaxation was perfect." - Linda Parker

"Hello Falcon Family, My granddaughter enjoyed Falcon Camp again this summer. Next year she wants to come for a month. I was happy to hear she enjoyed sailing, canoeing, crafts and tennis activities. It's interesting that the original draw to Falcon Camp was something different and she has grown to enjoy so many new activities. Turning 12 in February makes her even happier since she will be a Senior Camper. I asked what are the advantages of that group? She replied, 'We stay up a little later, go on a Mohican Trip and sleep in cabins higher up on the hill.' As for me, I feel good seeing her confidence level moving upward, hearing about new friends and how situations were addressed and noticing attitudes towards helping others improve." - Sincerely, Camp Grandmother

"Dear Dave and Emily, We just wanted to send you a note of thanks. Once again our kids had a wonderful experience at Falcon Camp. Our daughter wants to go for six weeks next year. Our son came home with an improved attitude and says he wants to be a counselor-in-training next year." - Longtime Camp Mom & Dad

"Dave, enclosed is a donation for your scholarship fund. Also enclosed is a picture of our son from his first Junior Archery Tournament. He finished 1st place in his division. I'm certain his experience at Falcon Camp gave him the confidence to succeed." - Thanks, Proud Camp Dad
