We continue to have a FANTASTIC time in Creative Arts and have some new podcasts to show for it! There are fictional accounts, interviews with the animals of Falcon, and another round of international staff interviews. Enjoy!
Hi everyone!
We have been REALLY busy working in Creative Arts this year. Beginner Awards include digital photo collages (and a new photography gallery in the dining hall) as well as creative writing and podcasting. Attached below are the mp3 files of the first session podcasts from Creative Arts! Check back for more soon!
Greetings from the Web!
Falcon has a new podcast and we need your help! Click on the download now (at the bottom of the page) to get your own Falcon Podcast MP3 straight to your computer!
Happy Camping,

After all these years, I still get excited each spring. It’s time to go down and begin to open up camp, staff contracts are completed and I watch the camper list grow. We work hard all year round to make each summer special but spring is always a different excitement: Who’s coming back to camp? Which staff are returning? Will I know anyone? What new programs are happening? My best friend’s not coming back so I don’t know if I want to. Am I going to be able to make friends? There are always lots of questions this time of year.
For returning campers and some of you who are still wondering about returning, camp will be different this year. But if you think about it, camp has some different people every year! Falcon is Falcon every year, always with a few improvements, always with a few new activities but some of what makes camp so special is that you know what it is and what to expect. That’s part of what makes Falcon feel like a “second home” to so many campers. Another large part of camp is the people who make it special. We all have people who have become special to us over the years at Falcon. Not everyone can return each year but you will still be friends with them for as long as you want. My best friends now are still people I met at camp when I was a camper and a counselor and I’m getting pretty old (no, there were no dinosaurs roaming camp at the time but it was pretty close).
One thing to remember: All of you were new campers at some point, a little wary or unsure of what you would find at camp. There will be new campers this year who will feel the same way. How exciting was it to make new friends and have a great time your very first year??? Returning campers will get a chance to show new campers Falcon as you know it. Before you realize it, everyone will have a few more “best friends” added to their list. Falcon has a wonderful reputation for welcoming new campers into the “Falcon Family”. I’m looking forward to all of you being a part of Falcon this summer!

Hello Falcon campers, parents, staff and alumni!
After a year of hard work, we are pleased to introduce the new Falcon website! The new site offers lots of updated features from our former site including a virtual camp tour, key staff pictures/bios, games, and even a chance to share your Falcon experience with friends. As with all new projects, we expect to find some small mistakes or glitches. Please be patient as we work through those issues. Most importantly, we are excited to get some feedback from you. Please send us an email with feedback on the site. We are anxious to hear all of your responses and some new ideas to help make this site even better. Continue to check back for new updates and share Falcon with your friends and family.
Yours in Camping,
Nici Mahen, Assistant Director
