The Falconer - 2013 Editions

From the Director
Nice to see so many campers registering early this year. We are experiencing a larger number of inquiries and it really is pleasing to hear people say they have heard such good things about Falcon that they were interested themselves. This is such a busy time of year for us as we prepare for the camp fairs, plan new program and hire the 2013 staff. Staff hiring is a critical step in making sure campers have the best possible experience at camp. We are as diligent as we can be to insure that the young people who take care of our campers have the proper activity skills but even more importantly that they are the appropriate role models to assist our campers in their growth. I’m very proud that Falcon Camp is recognized among camping professionals nationally for the quality of our staff. Our Counselor In Training and our Junior Counselor programs are first rate and create some hard choices for us as we have more qualified candidates for these programs than we have space available. We spend a large amount of time on our staff decisions and this is the time of year much of our hiring happens. Tali is going to Boston to spend a week with Nici to go over some new program ideas and to start preparing for our ACA accreditation visit this summer. I hope school is going well for everyone.
Remember to tell your friends about Falcon! See you soon,
–Dave
